Broadway and screen actor Chryssie Whitehead (Broadway’s Chicago, A Chorus Line Revival and West Side Story Film) confronts her Bipolar II diagnosis by stepping into herself—literally. Using her own voice, body, and story, she unpacks decades of family secrets, societal stigma, and inherited trauma.

Through movement, stillness, and emotionally charged text… She rewrites the silence around mental illness and survival—not with reenactment, but with presence.

More than a personal reckoning…

IN MY OWN LITTLE CORNER is a cinematic act of testimony.

Performance becomes truth.

Vulnerability becomes craft.

healing becomes the film’s form.

Mission:

Whitehead’s genuine and brave storytelling leaves an INVITATION for viewers to feel less alone and, perhaps, see themselvEs SOMEWHERE in her story.

Now submitting to film festivals and pitching for global distribution with hopes to increase access to more hearts worldwide.
